Lowdermilk is the consistent scoring anchor for Naples because it combines the city shoreline with verified parking, restrooms, showers, accessible beach mats, playground and volleyball.

Where it is

Main scoring anchor: Lowdermilk Park, 1301 Gulf Shore Blvd N, Naples, FL 34102. This is a city-operated beachfront park north of downtown Naples. The guide does not use the currently closed Naples Pier area to inflate facilities or access.

Beach-day essentials

🚻 RestroomsPublic restrooms are verified by the City of Naples.
🚿 ShowersPublic showers are verified at Lowdermilk.
♿ Accessible beachADA beach-access mats are provided.
🛝 PlaygroundA children’s playground is available.
🏐 VolleyballSand volleyball courts are available.

Parking and access

Visitor beach parking in the City of Naples is $5 per hour with a $2.50 minimum payment. Lowdermilk is a visitor pay-by-space location, and parking is enforced year-round. The park has substantial parking, but the hourly price and peak-demand limits keep the access score moderate.

Food near Naples Beach

A concession/snack option is verified at Lowdermilk Park. Other Naples restaurants are not counted as walkable food unless their practical pedestrian route from the park meets the D’s approximately 10-minute standard, so the current food score remains 5/10.

Activities and watersports

Verified activities at the anchor include swimming, sand volleyball, playground use, picnicking and ordinary beach recreation. The closed Naples Pier is not counted as a currently available activity.

Before you go

The Naples Pier is currently closed for its rebuild. Visitors who want a straightforward city-beach day should use the current City beach-access and parking information rather than older guides that treat the pier as open.

D’s Beach Ratings

Overall Beach Rating: 7.5/10
Strong scenery, very good facilities and family usability lift Lowdermilk. The $5/hour visitor parking rate, limited verified walkable food and the current pier closure keep Naples from scoring higher.
