Parking and access
Admission is $8 per vehicle for two to eight people. Single-occupant vehicles are $4 and pedestrians/bicyclists are $2. The park is open from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. Parking is available at the beach, picnic area and nature center.
Food at Honeymoon Island
Honeymoon Island is a park-first beach, not a restaurant district. The on-site concession provides a practical food option, but nearby restaurant variety requires leaving the island and heading back toward Dunedin.
Activities and watersports
Swimming, shelling, fishing, kayaking, bicycling, hiking, surfing, wildlife watching and ferry access toward Caladesi make this a strong active beach day.
Before you go
Florida State Parks warns that erosion and sand migration separated the northernmost mile of the sandspit from the main island. Deep water, rapidly changing depth, unseen hazards and strong currents may be present there. Do not attempt to cross the cut through the water.
